KG Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Partner Engagement Coordinator in Charleston, SC, to join a growing non-profit dedicated to improving our communities through education and resource access.

Location: In or close to Charleston, SC. This role will support the Lowcountry Region, including but not limited to Beaufort, Jasper, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties.

The Partner Engagement Coordinator seeks, fosters, and strengthens relationships with organizations and agencies throughout their assigned region and occasionally statewide. Your role is securing partnerships with direct service nonprofits, businesses, healthcare agencies, schools, city, county, and state government entities. You will conduct training throughout the designated region and promote awareness of the organization.

Partnership development and relationship building will be your key to success in this position.

Primary Duties and Essential Functions:

  • Support a Medicaid enrollment program focusing on increasing approvals of Medicaid applications and renewals within the region. Increase the efficacy of access to Medicaid benefits and coordinate available resources.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner sites.
  • Research potential partners and confirm they align with the organization’s values, mission, and program offerings.
  • Recruit and establish new partnerships; conduct presentations, demonstrate the online client portal, and maintain effective follow-up communications.
  • Create proposals and negotiate partnership agreements and contracts; maintain data in the customer relationship management software.
  • Track and report on partnership performance, outreach events, collaborative meetings, pipeline activity, and prospective and partner site visits.
  • Become an organization counselor and trainer in aspects of the online client portal, such as self-care, financial literacy, case management, and/or taxes.
  • Perform client intake interviews and complete applications when needed.
  • Develop and implement a strategic approach to prospecting and outreach event attendance, including strategically mapping travel.
  • Participate in your region's community coalitions, committees, work groups, and task forces.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of events, programs, and special initiatives and facilitate meetings.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships/collaborations with State of SC divisions in your region, businesses, childcare facilities, libraries, community benefit organizations, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, food banks, media, homeless coalitions, faith-based organizations, legislators, and city and county councils.
  • Attend and present at conferences, meetings, and training, and complete assigned reports as instructed.
  • Travel approximately 60-75% of your time throughout the assigned region and state to effectively and efficiently complete job assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and foster relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Strong technological aptitude – proficient technical experience with laptops, projectors, webinars, USB ports and flash drives, data entry, Microsoft Office Suite, internet navigation, and ability to learn new platforms.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience in business development, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience in or comprehension of federal and state programs and benefits.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, state-required minimum auto insurance, and reliable transportation; ability to travel 60-75% of the time (some travel is day trips and some overnight).
  • Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • Consistent and reliable internet access when working remotely is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
