Family medical practice with locations in Lancaster, SC and Kershaw, SC which provides preventative care as well as management of chronic illnesses for all ages. We are growing our business and look forward to bringing on motivated and professional individuals. Currently we are hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for our Kershaw office.
The NP or PA is primarily responsible for providing medical services within the scope of licensing, training, and credentialing for our patients. In addition, the NP or PA may be directed by the Chief Medical Officer to perform other duties in accordance with funding agency requirements, contractual agreements, and policies, procedures, and protocols established by the Organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to the highest standards of medical practice, ethics, and professionalism at all times.
- Provide quality care for all patients.
- Complete charting and required administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- Participate in the development/review of office policies, quality improvement procedures; evaluate current practices, policies and procedures; and support the Executive Director/CEO and Office Manager in their respective duties.
- Recommend changes in clinical areas, and/or in general areas to improve patient flow, medical records, billing and appointment practices.
- Assist leadership in designing, implementing and evaluating educational programs for patients and staff.
- Responsible for directing and supervising the clinical staff, as appropriate.
- Practice medicine in accordance with the quality criteria adopted by the Organization.
- Become familiar with Federal and State rules, regulations, and practices in a Community Health Center.
- Become familiar with Federal and State health care program requirements and assist in carrying out these programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners/FNP or PA program.
- Advanced education and training in the diagnosis and management of common medical conditions and chronic illnesses.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or NCCPA board certification in South Carolina.
- Cardiac Life Support (ACLS/PALS) Certification.
- Current Certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American Nurse Credentialing Center. Meets all requirements to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
- Current/eligible for a DEA certificate without restriction and an NPI number.
