A team dedicated to improving home energy efficiency is looking for a Residential Building Performance Technician to join the mission. If you have experience in home performance, energy audits, or construction and want to make a real impact, this role is for you.

Home Efficiency & Repair – Energy audits, weatherization, and home repairs for energy-insecure households.
Green Building Consulting – Helping commercial projects adopt high-performance sustainability standards.
Habitat Restoration – Conservation projects like saltmarsh restoration, rain garden construction, and water-quality monitoring.
What You’ll Do
As a Home Performance Technician, you’ll be at the forefront of residential energy efficiency. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting detailed energy assessments for single-family homes.
- Performing diagnostic testing using blower doors, duct blasters, and infrared cameras.
- Creating scopes of work for weatherization and home repair projects.
- Advising homeowners on energy-saving strategies to lower costs.
- Collaborating with contractors and ensuring quality assurance on upgrades.
- Maintaining accurate client records and contributing to program development.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate has:
- Experience in energy auditing, residential construction, or mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of home inspection practices (certification is a plus!).
- A strong commitment to safety and quality control.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and solid organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- A high school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- A valid SC driver’s license and an insurable driving record.

Physical Requirements
